Saturday, September 10th 2011 is the Annual Picnic Day for the Illawarra Amateur Radio Society. Starts 10am concludes around 3pm.
All amateurs, their friends and families are welcome. There will be a BBQ lunch available as well as drinks. The lunch will be free for financial members of the IARS. Others can purchase drinks and sausage sandwiches for a cost recovery price.
There will be a H.F. rig set up for all to use and several antenna’s to play with. Why not bring your own antenna you’ve built, hook it up and show it off for all to see.
There will be pedestrian fox hunts running all day. If you are an experienced fox hunter, or never tried it before, come along and have a go, it’s a fun filled day.

Should there be a need to cancel the event due inclement weather, or a Total Fire Ban Day, information will be shown here on this web site after 8am Saturday 10th September. There will also be a cancellation notice placed on the repeater announcement of the coast link repeater network. That is 146.850 MHz Sydney & Wollongong, 156.975 MHz Nowra & Kiama, and 146.675 MHz Ulladulla & Batesmans Bay.
